Soprano Ruth Iniesta will sing in both Carmen and Turandot at the Arena di Verona Opera Festival


From June 22nd to August 31st Bizet's opera Carmen will be performed at the Arena di Verona Opera Festival. Soprano Ruth Iniesta will participate in this production performing  the role of Frasquita. Francesco Ivan Ciampa will be conducting the Orchestra and Coro dell’Arena di Verona and the Coro di Voci Bianche A.LI.VE. Stage direction, set design and costumes are in the hands of Hugo de Ana.

Ruth Iniesta will also perform in another production slated for the same edition of the Arena Festival, Turandot. So, on July 5th and 13th she will embody Liú in the 2010 stage production by Franco Zeffirelli, with costumes by Oscar-winner Emi Wada. The musical director will again be Francesco Ivan Ciampa.

In the near future we will see the Zaragoza-born soprano in La Bohème at the ABAO Bilbao, in Don Giovanni at the Comunale di Bologna and in Falstaff at the Teatro Real de Madrid.
