Tenor Gregory Kunde will sing the leading role in Turandot in a new production by the Teatro Real of Madrid


After a 20-year absence Turandot returns to the Teatro Real with a stellar cast headed by Gregory Kunde as Calaf. Singing alongside the American tenor will be Irene Teorin as Princess Turandot. The two will be under the baton of the Teatro Real's musical director, Nicola Luisotti. This new coproduction by the Teatro Real, the Canadian Opera Company of Toronto and the National Theatre of Lithuania is by the renowned stage director Robert Wilson. Puccini's famous opera, one of the great titles in the Italian repertory, will be on stage between November 30th and December 30th.

Gregory Kunde will also be singing soon in Andrea Chenier, at the Wiener Staatsoper, and in Otello at the Baluarte of Pamplona.
