The A Coruña opera season presents Il barbiere di Siviglia in concert version, with Bruno de Simone singing the role of Don Bartolo


On September 17th, the Italian baritone Bruno de Simone will interpret the role of Don Basilio in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia. The new opera season in A Coruña has turned to this masterpiece of comic opera just after the two hundredth birthday of the work's premiere. The fabulous cast that will perform with Bruno de Simone will be accompanied by the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia and the Coro Gaos, under the baton of the well-known Italian conductor Marcello Panni.
Bruno de Simone, one of the most renowned singer-actors on the international opera scene, has received great acclaim for his masterly interpretations of the Rossini repertoire. We will be able to see him again soon in La Cenerentola at ABAO-Bilbao, in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Opèra de Monte-Carlo, in L’elisir d’amore at the Opera di Firenze and on the stage of Teatro dell’Opera di Roma in Il viaggio a Reims.
