The ABAO season features Puccini’s “Turandot” with Andrés Veramendi as Calaf


The ABAO’s 2013/2014 season comes to a close with Puccini’s “Turandot.” Tenor Andrés Veramendi will star in the role of Calaf for a performance on May 24th at Bilbao’s Palacio Euskalduna as part of the Opera Berri Cycle. It will be presented the co-production by the ABAO, Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu and Toulouse’s Théâtre du Capitole, with stage direction by Nuria Espert, that was previously performed on the same stage in September of 2002 (four performances) and May of 2008 (five shows). With the Bilbao’s Coro de Opera and Navarra’s Orquesta Sinfónica, conducted by John Mauceri.
