The Festival Terras sem Sombra will house the premiere of “La Betulia Liberata” featuring Carmen Romeu, Marifé Nogales, and Mikeldi Atxalandabaso

On June 23rd, the Festival Terras sem Sombra de Musica Sacra do Baixo Alentejo will house the premiere of “La Betulia Liberata”, by Gaetano Pugnani. This will be the first time in modern history that this work is performed, since its music score has been recently recovered. The outstanding cast will include soprano Carmen Romeu (Ozia), mezzo-soprano Marifé Nogales (Amital), and tenor Mikeldi Atxalandabaso (Achior). The prestigious Festival, which was founded in 2003, will celebrate its 8th edition. The work will be performed as a concert at the Basílica Real de Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Castro Verde (Portugal). Donato Renzetti will be conducting the Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa.
