The Ópera de Oviedo presents Andrea Chénier under the stage direction of Alfonso Romero Mora and the participation of the bass Francisco Crespo

Andrea Chénier, a dramatic historical opera in four acts with music by Umberto Giordano and libretto by Luigi Illica, is based on the life of the French poet of the same name, executed during the French Revolution. It will be staged by the Ópera de Oviedo from 7th to the 16th of December. Alfonso Romero Mora undertakes the stage direction of this production by the Festival Castell de Peralada and ABAO, in which the bass Francisco Crespo will sing the role of Roucher. The conductor of this touching love story between Chénier and Maddalena de Coigny is Gianluca Marcianò, who will lead a very reliable cast of artists as well as the Oviedo Filarmonía and the Coro de la Ópera de Oviedo.
In the near future Alfonso Romero Mora will be working in Faust at the Teatro Villamarta of Jerez and also in La forza del destino at the Ópera de Las Palmas. And soon we will have the chance to listen to Francisco Crespo in Roméo et Juliette at the Teatro Calderón of Valladolid.
