The Teatro di San Carlo stages Adriana Lecouvreur with Marianne Cornetti in the role of Princess de Bouillon


Adriana Lecouvreur, an opera in four acts with music by Francesco Cilea and libretto by Arturo Colautti, is the newest work to be presented by the Teatro di San Carlo of Naples. From October 16th to 23rd Marianne Cornetti, who will give life to Princess de Bouillon, will be part of a stunning international cast of performers. Among them are Barbara Frittoli and Svetla Vassileva, who will be singing the role of Adriana Lecouvreur, and Marcello Giordani and Gustavo Porta, in the role of Maurizio. Daniel Oren will be conducting the Orchestra and Coro del Teatro di San Carlo. Stage direction is provided by Lorenzo Mariani.
The American mezzosoprano's upcoming performances include Falstaff at the San Diego Opera, Le prophète at the Aalto-Musiktheater Essen, Aida at the Gran Teatre del Liceu and Un Ballo in Maschera at the National Centre for the Performing Arts of Beijing.
