The Teatro Real in Madrid presents “Il barbiere di Siviglia” with bass Dmitry Ulyanov as Don Basilio


On September 14th, Gioacchino Rossini’s “Il barbiere di Siviglia” will inaugurate the new 2013-2014 season at the Teatro Real in Madrid. Bass Dmitry Ulyanov once again returns to the same stage to play the role of Don Basilio. On this occasion, the renowned production of the Teatro Real, in co-production with the Teatro São Carlos de Lisboa, will be performed, with stage direction by Emilio Sagi. With the Coro y Orquesta del Teatro Real and musical direction from Czech maestro Tomas Hanus. Dmitry Ulyanov will perform five shows, on September 14th, 17th, 19th, 21st and 23rd. The prestigious bass will also be returning to the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville to sing in “Aida".
