The Teatro Regio di Torino and the Grand-Théâtre de Genève stage Manon Lescaut, with the tenor Gregory Kunde in the role of Renato des Grieux

Manon Lescaut, a lyrical drama in four acts by Giacomo Puccini, will be on the stage of Teatro Regio di Torino between March 14th and 26th and at the Grand-Théâtre de Genève on March 30th, in concert version. The American tenor Gregory Kunde will sing the role of Renato des Grieux, which he performed to great success last season in Bilbao.
This production boasts an excellent cast of international figures and Kunde will be sharing the stage with the soprano María José Siri, in the role of Manon, and the baritone Dalibor Jenis, who gives life to Lescaut, Manon’s brother. The musical director of this new production by the Turin theatre will be Maestro Gianandrea Noseda. Stage direction is in the hands of Vittorio Borrelli.
Gregory Kunde's upcoming performances include Andrea Chénier at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma and at ABAO-Palacio Euskalduna and Turandot, with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Zubin Mehta. He will be returning to the ROH Covent Garden with Otello in July and in August he will give recitals at the Peralada Festival and also at the Tio Pepe Festival of Jerez de la Frontera.
