The tenor Francisco Corujo will sing in Doña Francisquita, at the Tenerife Opera Festival


Doña Francisquita, which will be staged at the Auditorio de Tenerife on June 24th, as part of the Tenerife Opera Festival, will feature the voice of Francisco Corujo in the role of Fernando. This comic opera in three acts by Amadeo Vives, with libretto by Federico Romero and Guillermo Fernández-Shaw, based on Lope de Vega's comedy La discreta enamorada, will be conducted by Miquel Ortega, who will be leading the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife. The stage director on this occasion will be Curro Carreres.
Among the singer's recent performances and upcoming engagements, we would highlight Otello at the Teatro Pérez Galdós, in Las Palmas, Die Zauberflöte in Coruña, Otello at the Teatro de la Maestranza, La Bohème at the Teatro Campoamor of Oviedo, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony with the Orquestra Simfónica del Vallés, Les pècheurs de perles with the Real Filharmonía in Santiago de Compostela and Vigo, Die Zauberflöte at the Opera Naples of Florida and Beethoven's Ninth Symphony at the Teatro Nacional Eduardo Brito of Santo Domingo.
