Valencia-born soprano Carmen Romeu will sing Musetta in La bohème at the Teatro Real of Madrid

A new production of Puccini's opera La bohème, with libretto by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica and based on Henri Murger's novel Scènes de la vie de bohème (1851), comes to the Teatro Real in coproduction with the Royal Opera House of London and the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Carmen Romeu will sing the role of the singer Musetta, in this ode to life, love and friendship in Bohemian Paris. With Paolo Carignani conducting and Richard Jones as stage director, La bohème will be at the Madrid theatre from December 11th to January 8th.
In addition, Carmen Romeu will soon be participating in a Rossini gala to be held at the Opera Vlaanderen in homage of Zedda.
